Maintenance Technician/Handyman

Temporary Maintenance Technician/Handyman – £16 – £17p/h Newcastle Upon Tyne

Immediate Start, 9:00 – 17:30 Monday-Friday

My client provides high quality student housing, in both shared houses and apartments, in 24 cities across the UK, leading the way in offering exceptional student accommodation. I am recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team to manage repairs and maintenance across their portfolio of student houses in Newcastle.

Duties include:

• Providing high standard repairs, maintenance and decorating across a portfolio of high quality student housing
• Working and interacting with student customers to rectify maintenance issues
• Completing planned and reactive maintenance
• Undertaking health and safety checks 
• Carrying out statutory compliance inspections where necessary
• Energy and utility management including meter reading and broadband service management
• Basic seasonal garden maintenance 

What we need from you:

• Full, clean driving license
• Experience completing repairs and planned maintenance
• Experience in painting 
• Experience in basic maintenance (carpentry, plumbing and electrical)
• Excellent communication and customer service 
• Proactive and positive attitude to work under own initiative Strong IT skills with the ability to use IOS on Iphone and IPad and experience with Microsoft Office
