My client, a well-known healthcare and leading Scientific organisation are looking for an experienced HCPC-registered and motivated Biomedical Scientist (BMS) to lead a team of staff in Blood Transfusion providing a comprehensive 24/7 pathology service at a busy pathology laboratory in Chiswick South West London, on a permanent basis. You must be HCPC-registered. About the role: The successful candidate will co-ordinate and participate in the routine processing of all pathology specimens and issue of blood components; and to allocate work to the other BMS and MLA staff to ensure a smooth workflow, ensure that for each sample the appropriate requested investigations are performed in a timely manner and to ensure that specialised and urgent specimens are appropriately dealt with. Other duties will include working within a multi-disciplinary team where duties include provision of other pathology services such as Haematology and Biochemistry. You must have blood transfusion experience and relevant qualifications. Post is multidisciplinary with rotation in Haematology/ Biochemistry departments. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a proven interest in quality with a view to maintaining UKAS and MHRA compliance.
