Our Stockroom Assistants are responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, maintaining an organised stockroom, and assisting in the replenishment of stock as needed.

Role Requirement: Fully Flexible

In your role as a Stockroom Assistant, you are responsible for all stockroom operations to optimise the retail business and enhance efficiency of the selling process to drive commercial success. You are keen to be the ‘best in class’ within your store. You are flexible, pro-active and you enjoy stock management and movement as well as maintaining the effective overall stock flow and storage process to improve and speed up the customer experience.

Your Key Objectives:

  • Conducting regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Organising and maintaining the stockroom to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of products.
  • Assisting in the replenishment of stock on the sales floor.
  • Checking and verifying incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality control.
  • Communicating with management regarding stock levels and potential inventory issues.
  • Labelling and pricing merchandise as necessary.
  • Assisting customers with locating products and answering any stock-related questions they may have.
  • Adhere to the health & safety policy and security procedures.
  • Be proactive in Loss Prevention by keeping the stockroom well organised and maintaining procedures.
  • Ensure the highest standard of housekeeping is observed in all back of house areas at all times.
  • Accurately complete all Stock handling paperwork to a World Class standard.
  • Ensure all delivery and transfer requests are processed quickly and to Company Policy.
  • Support store team by implementing floor moves, when required.
  • Support the Management team by successfully running stock reports, when necessary and communicate these to the rest of the team.
  • Support the Management team with stock count and bi-annual stock takes.

Qualifications

The ability to maintain exceptionally high store standards inclusive of merchandising products, point of sale and cleanliness of displays. Demonstrable success gained in a retail sales environment in a fast-moving consumer goods company. Awareness of stock control, monitoring stock levels, previous stock experience including unpacking & booking deliveries, replenishment and stock takes.
