Overview
This position is for a brand new store opening in October at Springfields Outlet. As Assistant Store Manager, your focus is on motivating your team and giving each customer a meaningful shopping experience. You’re also second-in-command, ready to fill in for your Store Manager and to take charge when necessary. Above all, you’re dedicated to driving the store’s performance by ensuring excellent customer service, effective teamwork and efficient operations every day.
You’ll act as a role model for your team and a true ambassador for Rituals. You’ll support your Store Manager in creating a culture of trust, based on positive and constructive feedback. You’ll help recruit, hire and retain a diverse and talented store team, coach team members to help them feel more engaged while achieving their full potential, and serve as your Store Manager’s right hand by helping with day-to-day business activities.
Responsibilities
- Motivate the team and deliver a meaningful shopping experience for customers.
- Serve as second-in-command and be ready to cover for the Store Manager when needed.
- Drive store performance through excellent customer service, teamwork, and efficient operations.
- Act as a role model and ambassador for the brand.
- Support the Store Manager in creating a culture of trust with positive feedback.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring and retaining a diverse and talented store team.
- Coach team members to improve engagement and help them reach their potential.
- Assist with day-to-day business activities as the Store Manager’s right hand.
Qualifications
- High energy, low ego and a sense of humour.
- Ability to encourage others and achieve store goals in customer satisfaction and sales; inspiring and performance-oriented.
- Experience at Assistant Store Manager level or equivalent within retail or hospitality (preferred).
- People management skills (communication, motivation, coaching, connection, inspiration).
- Experience in sharing knowledge to drive behavioural change and develop others.
- Decision making and problem-solving skills.
