The Payroll Specialist will help process and manage payroll cycles for UK (frontline + head office team) and Ireland (frontline teams), benefits and pensions schemes and all associated reporting. You will be the main point of contact for all Payroll, Pensions & Benefits questions and queries for our UK and Ireland markets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assisting the Payroll Manager with end to end payroll processing for UK and Ireland Markets, and can deputise when needed.
- Second line of support for Payroll queries including Tax, Pension, P11D, PSA and P60 processes.
- Responsible for leaver calculations and salary certification.
- Managing the Payroll/HR Inbox.
- Responsible for the overall management of our internal HR systems (ADP GlobalView and ADP Streamline).
- Responsible for assisting with benefits administration (Pension, Holiday Purchase Scheme).
- Develop new operational policies, procedures, guidelines and ways of working to build the payroll operations function.
- Renews and optimises existing business processes to achieve both accuracy and efficiency through innovative solutions.
- Assist with HR/Payroll projects in line with UK and Ireland legislation laws to ensure full business GDPR compliance.
- Collaborate with the global Payroll team and other stakeholders to improve and develop ways of working on both a local and global level.
- Liaise with external individuals such as 3rd party providers (payroll and benefits).
- Provide operational advice to the Head of HR, HRBP and other internal stakeholders across various LOBs.
- Make improvements to existing data usage and build data accuracy workflow (Headcount, payroll, retention, DE&I).
Qualifications:
- Strong retail payroll background with a proven track record of managing end to end payroll cycles.
- Has end of year reporting, P11D, PSA and P60 experience.
- Has good benefits administration experience (Pension schemes).
- Has extensive experience with Payroll systems SAP (ADP/GV highly desirable).
- Can demonstrate a solid understanding of current employment legislation for both UK and Ireland markets.
- Articulate with excellent written communication skills, and good eye for detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and efficient with a great sense of humour, empathy and work ethic.
- Open to feedback with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of their work.
- Excellent Microsoft Office computer and preferably advanced Excel skills.
