The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Engineering Manager to lead our Quality Engineering team within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality leader passionate about continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, new product introduction (NPI) and developing high‑performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the Quality Engineering team.
  • Driving a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and problem solving.
  • Managing customer complaints and ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented.
  • Leading 8D investigations and root cause analysis activities.
  • Managing Quality KPIs and reporting on departmental performance.
  • Supporting and qualifying New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Managing part qualification activities for NPI and engineering changes.
  • Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and ISO management systems.
  • Working collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Leading team appraisals, coaching, and development activities.
  • Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in a quality role within manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing and developing engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of structured New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and experience using structured quality methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational and workload management skills.
  • Understanding of people management processes and procedures.
  • CQI Quality qualification.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience with PPAP requirements and management.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Knowledge of measurement techniques and capability studies (Cp/Cpk).
