Position: Group Leader - Stores Department
Rittal-CSM is looking for a Group Leader to oversee the Stores department and assist in the day-to-day running of the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have the aptitude to oversee the Stores area and lead its team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Picking orders using scanners
- Allocating picks, tasks, and monitoring progress
- Handing over the warehouse to the 2nd shift
- Preparing for the day ahead when the manager is on annual leave
- Assisting with new employees’ training
- Ensuring safe starts, forklift, and racking checks are completed
- Maintaining knowledge of scanner operations
- Organizing stock in the warehouse
- Making up various size boxes
- Moving stock between warehouses
- Unpacking and booking in return items
- Performing general daily cleaning of the warehouse (sweeping, emptying bins, etc.)
- Managing inventory
- Performing any other duties as assigned
Skills and training required:
- Group Leaders should have or be willing to obtain their CMI Level 3 in Team Leadership
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with computer software and SAP
- Motivated to ensure quality standards are met and warehouse procedures are followed
- Ensure cycle counts are completed
