Position: Group Leader - Stores Department

Rittal-CSM is looking for a Group Leader to oversee the Stores department and assist in the day-to-day running of the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have the aptitude to oversee the Stores area and lead its team members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Picking orders using scanners
  • Allocating picks, tasks, and monitoring progress
  • Handing over the warehouse to the 2nd shift
  • Preparing for the day ahead when the manager is on annual leave
  • Assisting with new employees’ training
  • Ensuring safe starts, forklift, and racking checks are completed
  • Maintaining knowledge of scanner operations
  • Organizing stock in the warehouse
  • Making up various size boxes
  • Moving stock between warehouses
  • Unpacking and booking in return items
  • Performing general daily cleaning of the warehouse (sweeping, emptying bins, etc.)
  • Managing inventory
  • Performing any other duties as assigned

Skills and training required:

  • Group Leaders should have or be willing to obtain their CMI Level 3 in Team Leadership
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with computer software and SAP
  • Motivated to ensure quality standards are met and warehouse procedures are followed
  • Ensure cycle counts are completed
