Contract Type: Permanent, Full‑time (39 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

The Opportunity: We are looking for a process engineer to join our Industrial Engineering Team. In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership, setting up and optimising processes to achieve the agreed quality standards. This involves applying problem‑solving skills to address process, health and safety and quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing new product introductions and projects aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency through lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own time, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and on‑time completion of projects.
  • Act as a role model for professional conduct, demonstrating integrity, accountability and commitment.
  • Drive strict adherence to policies, procedures and company values with a zero‑tolerance approach to non‑compliance.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Take the lead in investment projects and NPI projects.
  • Create project plans for NPI and investment projects and ensure the projects are completed according to project plans.
  • Ensure daily production has all the required tools and equipment for processes, material movement etc.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to H&S and quality requirements, including equipment and part qualification.
  • Maintain and apply a level of technical expertise across the site, sufficient to act as a point of reference for other departments to resolve complex problems and give technical direction.
  • Ensure that any new processes and/or machines that are implemented are capable to specified Process Capability Indices, prior to bringing into our own manufacturing process.
  • Ensure all layouts include a full analysis of material flow, inputs/outputs, ID, cycle times and line balancing to achieve Takt rate.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production and Supply Chain.
  • Attend new product introduction and design review meetings.
  • Engage in problem‑solving initiatives, root cause analysis and improvement workshops.

Qualifications & Experience: We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. To succeed, you’ll bring:

  • BTEC Level 4 HNC in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering; Lean Six Sigma certification desirable.
  • Proven experience delivering projects, factory transformations and layout redesign.
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes, including jig design and welding/weld jigs.
  • Experience with contractors, negotiations and equipment procurement.
  • Manufacturing systems, process engineering and project management.
  • Knowledge of CAD & planning software.
  • Familiarity with TPM, OEE and Lean principles.
  • Equipment validation and understanding of robotics, smart technologies and automation.
  • Understanding of root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling.
  • Clear, adaptive communication.
  • High attention to detail.
