The Business Development Manager for International Student Recruitment will oversee all student recruitment activities, business development activities, account management and marketing events for B2B channels and implement marketing and sales strategies to promote international student recruitment for RRG. Under the direction of the International Admission Team, you will implement and co-ordinate the processing of student applications to different UK Universities that we are working in partnership with. You will be reviewing incoming applications, and validating applications’ academic records and/or professional experience. You will oversee the day-to-day aspects of admissions, liaising with various internal and external stakeholders on related matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market and add partner network (Agents).
- Setup, and training of branch office and agents.
- Weekly management meetings.
- Establish and run quality control procedures and processes for relevant offices.
- Investigate competitors, new marketing opportunities and branding activities within the cities we have offices as well in prospective cities.
- Work with directors to create a sustainable marketing, sales & operations strategy.
- Identify key parameters to determine and create a pipeline of suitable branch office and agents’ candidates.
- Work closely and cooperatively with other directors to develop, train, onboard, and assure quality control of all branches.
- Franchise set up, training and oversee franchise operations.
- Assist with the successful launch and promotion of the brand in the franchise markets/regions.
- Lead Business Development and Application support team to drive recruitment growth for each office.
- Ensure that RRG becomes a leading player in all selected franchise/agent network markets over a mid-term 2 to 5-year timeframe (metric recruitment numbers, as % of the market, fairs, and brand awareness).
- Engage relevant in-house divisions and franchise team to support rapid and successful setup, training, roll out and business operations.
- Assist franchise operators in driving aggressive sales growth.
- Liaise with appropriate front/back-office function heads to ensure timely resources are employed for the franchise.
- Cooperate on other projects based on instructions and agreements with senior management.
- Feed into the annual budget, for all franchises.
- Provide appropriate levels of leadership and direction to ensure high-quality annual business plans.
- Strategic analysis and assisting franchises with Business development strategy and implementation.
- Accurate monitoring of Sales performance.
- Sales pipeline from Student enquiries to university offers.
- Franchise promotional expenditure within agreed limits.
- Responsible for planning and executing marketing, business development and lead generation activities for the allocated region.
- Visit a wide range of schools, colleges, universities and corporations to build relationships conduct seminars, workshops, and other marketing to promote UK education, RRG brand and generate leads.
- Conduct and manage a wide range of BTL and marketing activities for the region.
- Coordinate with corporate office for all region promotions.
- Investigate competitors, new marketing opportunities and branding activities within the cities we have offices as well in prospective cities.
- Manage, support, or participate in RRG Fairs, other Fairs and/or Events.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports to respective reporting managers.
- Support senior management to any new ventures and projects.
- Assist with daily administrative duties around the office.
- Willing to take up additional responsibilities based on the needs of the organization.
- Ensure monitoring and validation of the leads generated by region activities.
- Develop new business and liaison with existing partners.
- Development of the RRG brand.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Salesforce or database management experience.
- Experience representing an institution directly or with significant agency experience managing a sub-network of agents.
- Further or higher education qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Experience in student support in Higher Education, preferably with experience in dealing with international students.
- Experience with procedures and knowledge of student visas is essential.
- Ability to manage a diversity of tasks and organise and prioritise own workload while under pressure.
- Ability to contribute to, and work within a team.
- Ability to work on own initiative to resolve a range of problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate cultural awareness and a high level of empathy and understanding with international students.
- Excellent IT skills in an administrative setting, including word processing skills and using a multi-user student record system.
- Experience of using a Higher Education student record system is desirable.
- Ability to work flexibly to ensure completion of tasks, such as outside standard working hours during busy periods of the year.
- Demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, equality and diversity, and its practical application.
