We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager with a strong mechanical bias to oversee the delivery of modular building projects. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, client-facing, and possess a background in pipefitting or mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive leader who ensures quality assurance, safety compliance, and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage modular building projects from planning through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Implement and monitor QA processes to maintain high standards across all mechanical and structural aspects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and practical support on site, particularly in mechanical and pipefitting areas.
- Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all work adheres to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Quickly resolve technical and operational issues to keep projects on track.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role within modular building projects.
- Strong mechanical bias, ideally with a background in pipefitting or mechanical systems.
- Excellent knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example on site.
- Exceptional client-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Desirable
- Experience with modular building assembly and installation.
- Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems integration.
- Relevant certifications in construction management or mechanical engineering.
This role will require working away 4/5 days a week with all travel and accommodation paid for.
