Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for Youth Mentor at Woodford Group Home in Mishawaka, Indiana. Woodford Home serves male youth with a history of delinquent behaviours, mild mental health issues, abuse, neglect and trauma needs who are transitioning back to the community from a residential placement.

Woodford Home is licensed by Indiana Department of Child Services as a Child Caring Institution (CCI) serving up to 15 male youth between the ages of 14-21. The Woodford Home provides a safe therapeutic home for young men returning to the community from a residential placement. It is operated by Rite of Passage, Inc.

Pay: starting at $17/hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and document behaviours and activities.
  • Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.
  • Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.

To be considered you should:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
  • Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule: Looking to fill a 2nd shift 2p-10p position and a 3rd shift 10p-6a. Weekends will be a must.
