About The Team
We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full‑time and part‑time roles to conduct a successful multi‑million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.
Job Description
The Equipment Inspectors are part of our Detailed Equipment Information (DEI) team. They are responsible to perform accurate and thorough visual inspections (eg. wear points, damage, hour meter readings, etc.) and functional testing (eg. basic operations) on heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to gather and verify equipment inventory information (eg. contract proofs, equipment additions, serial numbers, etc.)
- Charged with identifying and recording equipment components, accessories, and asset details
- Accountable for verifying equipment descriptions, based on our Equipment Standards Manual
- Ensure the quality of equipment data and other related information
- Responsible for verifying requirements for warranty applicable items
- Liable for composing and taking photos of the equipment
- Provide assistance, as required, to the DEI Team
- Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write‑ups in the field between peak periods
- Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all
- Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co‑workers, and customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Experience in equipment inspections, inventory and appraisals and/or inventory control management
- Proven ability to effectively interface with Sales and Operational teams, as well as customers.
- You must have a strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency using technology such as computers / digital cameras and able to learn new programs quickly
- Professional level English

- You’ll maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- This is not an “8:00 AM to 5:00 PM” job. As an event‑driven company, overtime is a major part of what we do
- You must be able to work outside for extended periods in all types of weather
- You must be able to climb on top of and under large construction equipment
