Job Description

Trainee Territory Manager – Maltby

Start your sales career with hands-on training, real progression, and the opportunity to manage a multi-million-pound territory. At our company, we’re looking for ambitious, driven individuals ready to grow into successful Territory Sales Managers through a structured 6‑month training programme designed to set you up for long‑term success.

What You’ll Do

  • Prospecting and developing new business opportunities
  • Pipeline planning and territory management
  • Building strong customer relationships and rapport
  • Understanding customer needs and delivering value‑driven solutions
  • Learning deal management, auction operations, and customer service processes
  • Developing knowledge of heavy equipment, market trends, and equipment valuation
  • Supporting the wider sales team with additional duties as required

Following your training, you’ll enter a supported Sales Practicum period where you’ll apply your skills in the field with guidance from your sales coach and team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–5 years’ experience in a structured sales environment
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed targets
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Motivated learner with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
  • Confident building genuine customer relationships
  • Comfortable travelling 1–2 days per week across the territory
  • Heavy equipment experience is beneficial but not essential
