About the role
As Events Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of Node4’s annual portfolio of events, ranging from webinars and roundtables to large scale exhibitions, partner events and flagship multi‑day customer experiences. Typically delivering circa 40+ events annually, this role plays a key part in driving brand awareness, customer engagement and commercial pipeline. You will lead end‑to‑end event management, from concept creation and strategic planning through to execution and post‑event analysis, working closely with Marketing and Sales to ensure measurable ROI and alignment to wider business objectives. You will also play a key role in scaling and evolving the events programme as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver a high volume, multi‑format event programme (virtual, hybrid and in person), ensuring consistent quality and impact across all activities.
- Develop event concepts aligned to business priorities, campaigns and growth targets, ensuring each event has clear objectives, audience targeting and measurable outcomes.
- Manage full event lifecycle:
- Pre‑event planning and logistics
- Supplier sourcing and coordination
- Onsite delivery and event management
- Post‑event reporting and performance evaluation
- Drive commercial impact of events, working with sales teams to track ROI, pipeline generation and conversion.
- Support lead follow‑up and engagement strategies.
- Measure success against defined KPIs.
- Manage and forecast the events budget, taking full ownership of:
- Cost planning and tracking
- Supplier negotiation to maximise value
- Budget reporting and reforecasting across the programme
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Partners, Leadership).
- Lead on supplier and venue management, including negotiation, contracting and performance management to ensure high quality delivery and cost efficiency.
- Oversee all aspects of health & safety and compliance, including risk assessments, supplier documentation and onsite safety management.
- Enhance brand visibility and customer engagement through events, ensuring all activity supports wider marketing campaigns and contributes to thought leadership.
- Support content development including agendas, speaker coordination, branding and attendee experience to ensure events are engaging, relevant and impactful.
- Continuously improve the events programme by gathering feedback, analysing performance data and implementing improvements.
What Makes This Role Different
This role goes beyond event delivery – it is a commercially driven position with direct impact on pipeline generation, customer engagement and brand positioning. The Events Manager will play a key role in scaling Node4’s events strategy, introducing new formats, improving performance and ensuring events remain a core driver of business growth.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

- Experience in health & safety management, including risk assessments (IOSH or equivalent desirable).
- Highly organised, proactive and solutions‑focused, with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage suppliers, partners and internal stakeholders effectively.
This is a home‑based role; however, regular travel to our offices will be required for meetings, along with attendance at events. This will include travel across locations and occasional overnight stays, sometimes at short notice.
