About the role
With a passion for data and an innate curiosity, the Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for consolidating and transforming data from a variety of sources into business-critical reports, dashboards, and data solutions. The position involves working closely with various departments to understand their data needs, developing and maintaining BI solutions, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Because this is a cross-functional role, the ability to communicate with varying stakeholders is essential. The role involves communicating with technical specialists, data owners, and business stakeholders to successfully deliver data solutions.
What will you bring?
- Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and implementing BI solutions
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and experience with PowerPoint preferred
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, reports, and dashboards for non-technical stakeholders
- Solid understanding of data modelling and ETL processes with experience retrieving and integrating data from various sources
- Strong stakeholder management skills including the ability to present to a wide audience
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a curious and analytical mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- A positive and solution-focused approach to tasks and projects
Responsibilities
- Translate business problems and user needs into detailed requirements, to be used to create meaningful reports and dashboards
- Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations using tools such as Power BI and Excel to deliver insights to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain data pipelines & ETL processes to automate the collection and integration of data from a variety of sources
- Prepare regular reports to be provided to Senior and Executive Management and the board
- Proactively identify areas for improved efficiencies or improved clarity
- Work with senior leadership to ensure their analytic needs, ad-hoc requests, and change requests are being delivered successfully
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, implementing improvements as needed
- Provide training and support to end-users on data solutions including occasionally demonstrating solutions to larger audiences
- Stay up to date with the latest BI technologies and best practices
