About the role

The Associate Pre-Sales Consultant, Business Central is a customer-facing role within the AI Business Solutions Pre-Sales team, supporting and progressively leading pre-sales engagements for Dynamics 365 Business Central across discovery, demonstration, and solution scoping. This role is the entry point into business applications pre-sales at Node4. It suits someone with relevant Business Central or Dynamics experience - implementation, support, or functional - looking to move into a pre-sales career. Much of the pre-sales skill set is expected to be developed in the role, and that is by design: what matters at the outset is the relevant grounding, the appetite to learn, and the communication and relationship skills the work depends on.

The role works alongside experienced Pre-Sales Consultants and as part of the wider team, contributing to customer engagements while building toward independent ownership of discovery calls and demonstrations. It also takes a meaningful share of the work maintaining the pre-sales demo estate - the environments, data, materials, and scenarios that customer conversations rely on.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales Engagement: Support and progressively lead discovery calls, customer meetings, and demonstrations across Dynamics 365 Business Central and the Node4 IP and ISV partner portfolio. Translate customer requirements into tailored, outcome-led demonstrations, working up from supporting presenter to lead as capability develops. Design solutions using Business Central and the rest of the Microsoft stack to meet customer requirements, including estimating the effort to deliver those solutions. Contribute to RFP, tender, and proposal responses. Maintain accurate records of pre-sales activity and opportunity progress in line with team standards.
  • Demo Environment and Content: Build and maintain Business Central demo environments to a consistently high standard. Develop a working knowledge of the Node4 IP and ISV portfolio - what each solution does, how it improves or integrates with Business Central, and how to position it in a customer conversation. Track Business Central wave releases, Copilot developments, and new platform capabilities. Produce and maintain demo scripts, supporting content, and enablement materials for the wider team.
  • Team Contribution: Contribute to team events including the Node4 annual User Day - content, preparation, and on-the-day delivery. Support broader marketing activities which help grow the opportunity pipeline. Support bid and tender responses as commercial understanding develops. Share knowledge and findings with the wider team.

What will you bring?

  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV - functional or technical, at any level. Awareness of the broader Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft 365, Dynamics CRM, Power Platform, Copilot). Technical aptitude sufficient to learn the underlying platform and build and maintain demo environments independently over time.
  • Experience: Experience in or around a Microsoft Dynamics environment - implementation, support, functional consultancy, or as an end-user power user. Any background demonstrating commercial curiosity, structured problem-solving, or meaningful client interaction is relevant.
  • Personal Attributes: A genuine appetite to learn - this is a development role, and the right attitude to building new skills matters more than existing pre-sales experience. Clear and confident communicator, comfortable presenting to a room or working seriously toward it. Genuinely curious about how businesses work and how technology solves their problems. Organised and reliable - does what they say they will do. Takes initiative rather than waiting to be directed. A collaborative team player.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on functional experience with Business Central in any area: finance, supply chain, manufacturing, project management.
  • Familiarity with ISV solutions that extend Business Central - warehouse management, document management, or vertical-specific extensions.
  • Exposure to Business Central reporting via Power BI or the embedded analytics layer.
  • Understanding of the upgrade path from Dynamics NAV to Business Central.
  • Prior involvement in pre-sales or commercial activities in any capacity.

Professional Development

  • Structured onboarding alongside experienced Pre-Sales Consultants, with supported progression to independent engagement ownership.
  • Microsoft Business Central certification (MB-800), with dedicated time to build product and ISV knowledge.
  • Regular development conversations with clear progression milestones.

What can we offer you?

  • Hybrid Working.
  • Private Medical Insurance or Company Paid Health Cash Plan.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • 25 days holidays plus your birthday off.
  • Option to purchase additional holiday (up to 5 days).
  • Company Pension Scheme.
  • Life Assurance x 4.
  • A diverse workforce.
  • Employee investment with Node4 training Academy.
  • Family savings and shopping discounts through the Node4 benefits portal.
  • Discounted Gym Membership.
  • Modern facilities with open and welcoming breakout areas.
  • Company Social events.
  • Never ending supply of hot and cold drinks, biscuits, sweets, and fruit.
