As part of the TUV family, Risktec Resourcing have been tasked to assist our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) to source an Inspection Engineer (CAT 2) to cover the Southern Region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection & Written Schemes: Prepare and review Written Schemes of Examination (WSE).
  • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Perform basic NDT techniques (UT, MPI, DPI). Coordinate third-party NDT providers for advanced or specialized requirements.
  • Reporting & Repairs: Produce clear inspection reports, including photographs, assessments of deterioration, and sentencing of defects. Review design calculations and coordinate repairs where needed.
  • Engineering Support: Participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) studies. Provide technical support to clients, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

Key Requirements

  • Education: HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) – essential.
  • UKAS RG2: In-Service Inspection of Pressure Systems - essential.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in engineering disciplines, particularly in the in-service inspection of pressure systems.
  • Preferred Expertise: Background in mechanical engineering within the Chemical or Oil & Gas sectors is desirable.
  • Additional: Previous management experience is a plus.
