The Role:
Due to expansion in our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS), we have opportunities in the North West Region for Inspection Engineers (CAT 2) Pressure Equipment.
The Inspection Engineer role will involve preparing and reviewing Written Schemes of Examination (WSE), identifying preparation requirements for WSE and examination in accordance with the WSE.
You will:
- Undertake simple NDT – ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle, dye penetrant
- Co-ordinate NDT providers for extensive requirements or specialist methods
- Prepare clear reports including photographs
- Assess deterioration
- Review design calculations and sentencing defects
You will have:
- HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Essential)
- Hold a UKAS RG2 CAT 2 Certificate (Essential)
- 5 years relevant experience including at least 1 year with an Engineering Discipline with In-service Inspection of Pressure Systems (Essential)
- Incorporated Engineer status (desirable)
