Overview

As part of the TUV family Risktec Resourcing have been tasked to assist our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) in recruiting for a Process Engineer based in our Teesside office.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting process engineering projects, ranging from smallโ€‘scale calculations to large scale FEED and Detailed Design projects.
  • Authoring and checking process engineering deliverables, ensuring they comply with recognized industry and internal engineering standards.
  • Mentoring Graduate Engineers.
  • Working with commercial personnel to create and submit proposals with accurate manhour estimates.
  • Interacting with customers to ensure TUV delivers a solution on time and to high quality.
  • Contributing to the development of TUV\โ€™s portfolio of offerings, specifically targeting the Energy Transition and Net Zero.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across TUV and sharing best practices across projects and disciplines.
  • Delivering training courses to external clients (e.g. Pressure Relief).

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified Process Engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Actively working towards chartership with the IChemE.
  • Appreciation of overpressure protective systems (e.g. pressure relief valves and bursting discs).
  • Good working understanding of process design, such as hydraulic sizing and P&ID development.
  • Appreciation of HAZOP and LOPA methodologies.

Desirable

  • Professional consulting experience (or similar relevant experience advising and delivering technical solutions to customers).
  • Operational and design experience.
  • Experience of working on an operating site.
  • Experience of using PEL and CAPRE for process engineering calculations (TRIS/TUV proprietary software).
  • Process simulation experience, namely Aspen Suite Software (e.g. HYSYS and Aspen+).
  • Energy Transition and Net Zero experience (CCUS, hydrogen, fuel switching, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of the Teesside chemical cluster.

Other

  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willing to travel in the UK and abroad.
  • Good IT proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
