Inspector (CAT 3) Pressure Equipment TV Rheinland is a leading provider of technical services worldwide. We provide a broad range of testing, inspection and certification services to ensure the safety, reliability and regulatory compliance of engineering assets throughout their lifecycle. As part of the TUV family, Risktec Resourcing have been tasked to assist our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) to source CAT 3 Inspection Engineers to cover the UK in the Northwest, Northeast, Humberside and Southern Regions.
Job Summary
Inspection of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements.
Education
- Trained/qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Engineering Technician status desirable.
- 5 years of experience working within a relevant engineering discipline e.g. mechanical technician.
Experience & Skills
- Mechanical Engineering background.
- Experience in the Chemical and/or Oil & Gas sectors.
- Understanding of engineering principles.
- EEMUA / API / NDT qualification/experience.
- Appreciation of pressure equipment.
- Experience/appreciation of non-destructive examination techniques (NDT).
Successful applicants must meet the UKAS definition for category 3 inspection engineers as seen below: Engineering Technician as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. Appropriate ONC with relevant experience, NVQ Level III) having a minimum of 5 years experience within a relevant discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.
