Inspector (CAT 3) Pressure Equipment

Job Summary
- Inspection of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements.
Education
- Trained/qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Engineering Technician status desirable.
- 5 years of experience working within a relevant engineering discipline e.g. mechanical technician.
Experience & Skills
- Mechanical Engineering background.
- Experience in the Chemical and/or Oil & Gas sectors.
- Understanding of engineering principles.
- EEMUA / API / NDT qualification/experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Eye for detail.
- Meeting tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills, and the capability to work independently.
- Appreciation of pressure equipment.
- Experience/appreciation of non-destructive examination techniques (NDT).
Successful applicants must meet the UKAS definition for category 3 inspection engineers as seen below:
Category 3. Engineering Technician as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. Appropriate ONC with relevant experience, NVQ Level III) having a minimum of 5 years experience within a relevant discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.
