Inspection Engineer CAT 2 Pressure Equipment
Full time permanent position

We provide a broad range of testing, inspection and certification services to ensure the safety, reliability and regulatory compliance of engineering assets throughout their lifecycle. As part of the TUV family, TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) are looking to recruit CAT 2 Inspection Engineers in the Kent Area.
We are seeking experienced inspectors to join our growing Industrial team to provide Inspection and Certification of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements.
We offer comprehensive training, flexible working, and a great pay and benefits package.
- Undertaking simple NDT ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle, dye penetrant
- Coordination of NDT providers for extensive requirements or specialist methods
- Participation in Risk Based Inspection studies
Qualifications:
- HNC/Degree Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent (essential)
- UKAS RG 2 In-Service Inspection of Pressure Systems (essential)
- Understanding of engineering principles
- Mechanical Engineering background
- Chemical and/or oil and gas sector experience (desirable)
- Man-management experience (desirable)
Successful applicants must meet the UKAS definition for Category 2 Inspection Engineers as seen below:
Incorporated Engineer as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. appropriate HNC with relevant experience, vocational qualification level 4) including at least 5 years experience within a relevant engineering discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with the relevant field of inspection.
Standard hours Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Overtime available.
