Risktec Solutions Ltd is an established, independent engineering and risk management consultancy. We help clients to manage health, safety, security, environmental (HSSE) and business risk in sectors where the impact of loss is high. We are seeking Integrity / Plant Engineers (permanent role) with specific pressure systems knowledge to take up a position in its expanding Asset Integrity Management team based in our brand new facility in Derby, UK. The majority of the team's activities are focussed on the Conventional Power and Clean Energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Integrity assessment of defective power plant components low and high temperature (e.g. reverse code calculation, fracture mechanics, finite element analysis).
  • Power plant inspection (e.g. steam and water pressure parts, boiler tube surveys, support surveys), with an understanding of materials selection, damage/degradation mechanisms and life assessment.
  • Power plant mechanical engineering.
  • Power plant operations and maintenance.
  • Delivering power plant integrity assessments.
  • Assisting in developing risk-based inspection strategies.
  • Assessing inspection results, i.e. making run / repair / replace decisions.
  • Producing formal technical reports and other project deliverables on time and to budget.

The role will involve site visits, both within the UK and occasionally abroad, to meet project requirements.

Qualifications required:

  • BEng Degree or equivalent in engineering related topic, preferably mechanical engineering.
