Background Risktec Solutions is an established, independent and specialist risk management consulting and training company, and is part of the TV Rheinland Group. We assist clients in major hazard industries including oil and gas, clean energy, nuclear and transportation, as well as commercial and public sectors, to manage health, safety, security, environmental and business risk.

We are seeking Principal Integrity Engineers (permanent role) with specific pressure systems knowledge to take up senior positions in its expanding Asset Integrity Management team based in Derby, UK. Most of the team's activities are focussed on the Conventional Power and Clean Energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants).

  • Developing risk-based inspection strategies.
  • Assessing inspection results, producing formal technical reports and other project deliverables on time and to budget.
  • The role will involve site visits, both within the UK and abroad, to meet project requirements.
  • Power plant inspection (e.g. steam and water pressure parts, boiler tube surveys, support surveys), with an understanding of materials selection, damage/degradation mechanisms and life assessment.
  • Power plant mechanical engineering.
  • Working in conventional power and clean energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants).

In addition, you will have excellent organisational, problem solving, communication and report writing skills. BEng / MEng degree or equivalent in engineering related topic preferably mechanical engineering.
