RiskSmart is a Manchester-based scaleup on a mission to put some ‘oomph’ into the world of governance, risk and compliance. Our software is built to simplify and streamline the risk management process. No more clunky tools and corporate waffle. Just smart, simple solutions that help businesses stay ahead of risk, whilst making their day-to-day life easier.

We have achieved over 100% growth for the last two years, whilst bringing on-board logos such as ASOS, Allica Bank, SkyScanner, AutoTrader etc. We are now looking for a results driven Account Manager to join our Commercial team. Reporting into our Head of Sales, you will manage a portfolio of accounts, focusing on retention while identifying opportunities for growth and incremental ARR. You’ll also focus on identifying and nurturing revenue generating partnerships, which will introduce new opportunities into the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience as an Account Manager or Renewals Specialist, with a proven ability to foster relationships and expand account spend.

The Account Manager Role

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and renewals with a focus on customer obsession and high retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Lead the renewal process for each account, ensuring customer needs are met, check-ins are scheduled and commercial terms align with customer needs and expectations.
  • Identify and implement growth opportunities within accounts to drive incremental revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within each account.
  • Identify, build and nurture partnerships that drive revenue and introduce new business opportunities into our pipeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, CS, Product Tech, Marketing, etc) to enhance customer experience and maximize value.
  • Monitor account health and proactively address potential risks to retention and growth.

What We\'re Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience as an Account Manager or Renewals Specialist within SaaS, with a focus on driving renewals and growth.
  • Proven ability to manage +50 accounts while balancing renewals and identifying expansion opportunities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
  • Experience in building and nurturing new partnerships.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using CRM software – ideally HubSpot.
