About the Role: Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, you will manage a diverse team of technical, product, and data employees in Propulsion Labs. Starting with up to 8 direct reports, this may grow to 15 within the first year. These global employees self-organize into projects, contribute technically, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment. As a people manager, your focus will be on the management and development of employees. You will communicate extensively with your team to understand their performance, help shape their growth, remove roadblocks, and manage workloads. Your goal is to support each person to contribute to their best ability, grow their skills, and create an environment for continuous improvement and innovation. You will also collaborate across the Product organization and the wider Cirium team to deliver our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a diverse team of technical, product, and data employees.
- Communicate extensively with your team to understand their performance and coach for improvement.
- Shape, grow, remove roadblocks, and manage workloads for direct reports.
- Facilitate a fast-paced, customer demonstration environment.
- Build strong relationships with direct reports to achieve the best performance.
- Support self-organized project teams in achieving their goals.
- Connect individuals with the overall Cirium strategy, inspiring contribution and engagement.
- Create high levels of psychological safety to encourage innovation.
- Perform all required manager duties per RELX, Data Services, and Cirium processes (performance reviews, absence management, development plan management, etc.).
- Contribute to resource management and talent planning to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience Required:
- Experience in leading people.
