This is a full-time remote role for a Health and Safety Consultant covering the North Midlands to the North of the UK. The area of coverage is large, and therefore your geographical location will play a large part in our decision as to who joins us. The patch for this role includes, but will not be limited to:
- North Northamptonshire
- Nottinghamshire
- Derbyshire
- Doncaster
- Yorkshire
- Lancashire
Day-to-day tasks will include conducting risk assessments, providing adhoc phone and email advice, developing Construction Phase Plans, developing safety policies, forms, templates, toolbox talks, training and more. You will also develop Management Systems and implement them for your customers, complete Gap Analyses and improvement plans for each customer and deliver against them, ensuring the safety and health of the employees and compliance with regulations.
You will be responsible for providing competent H&S advice to your customers which is practical and reasonable, as well as retaining their business. Industries you will cover include, but are not limited to:
- Construction
- Waste
- Agriculture
- Education
- Manufacturing
Qualifications and experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in Safety and Health in the UK
- At least a level 3 qualification in Health and Safety
- Experience in risk assessment and compliance
- Strong IT, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
