I’m currently partnering with a well-established, global business who are looking to bring in an Export Team Leader to join their customer and export operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the detail of day-to-day operations, but also leading a team and driving improvements across processes, customer experience, and compliance. You’ll be sitting at the heart of the business – working closely with customers, internal teams, and global stakeholders to keep everything moving smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the customer service and export operations team, making sure everything runs efficiently and customers are supported throughout the process
- Managing export logistics, including forwarders, documentation, certifications and global customs procedures
- Taking ownership of the customer complaint process, ensuring issues are resolved and improvements are made
- Supporting pricing and order management through ERP systems
- Working closely with sales and global teams to manage customer accounts and contracts
- Driving cross-functional communication across the business
- Ensuring everything is aligned with trade compliance, export controls and customs regulations
- Getting involved in trade finance activities (letters of credit, payment terms, guarantees etc.)
About you:
I’m keen to speak with people who have:
- Experience in export, logistics or international customer operations
- A strong understanding of customs procedures and trade compliance
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
- Confidence working cross-functionally and building strong relationships
- Exposure to ERP systems and structured processes
- Ideally some knowledge of trade finance / letters of credit (but not essential)
Why it’s worth a conversation:
This is a business that genuinely values collaboration, continuous improvement and giving people the autonomy to make an impact. It’s a role where you can really shape how the team operates, while still being hands‑on in a fast‑paced, global environment.
