Rising Talent is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a respected engineering business working on complex, high-spec systems. This isn’t repetitive bench work — it’s hands-on assembly, testing, and problem-solving on specialist equipment used in demanding industrial environments. If you enjoy precision engineering, varied builds, and seeing a system come together from the ground up, this role delivers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Mechanical assembly and testing of water manifolds, pump skids, and interconnections
- Installing vacuum pipelines and components, ensuring high integrity bolted joints
- Running pneumatic lines from valves and devices to support system performance
- Installing stainless steel gas lines to engineering standards
- Fault-finding and diagnosing mechanical issues during build and test
- Carrying out vacuum and pressure testing of assembled systems
- Supporting on-site repairs and installations at customer locations
- Completing additional precision mechanical assembly work as required
What we’re looking for:
- Time-served Mechanical Fitter with solid hands-on experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and copper
- Comfortable working with pneumatics and mechanical systems
- A practical mindset with attention to detail and quality
Shift pattern:
Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 4:15pm
Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
