Delighted to be working with an established FMCG business in Fife who are looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Specialist to join them on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves getting into the detail, analysing spend and finding opportunities to do things better, smarter and more cost-effectively.

You’ll be given the opportunity to really get under the skin of their indirect services and supplier spend – looking at what’s currently in place, challenging where appropriate, negotiating new deals and identifying opportunities to drive cost savings and efficiencies across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reviewing and analysing existing indirect spend
  • Assessing current suppliers, contracts, and commercial agreements
  • Identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
  • Negotiating and renegotiating supplier agreements
  • Supporting sourcing and tendering activity across indirect services
  • Benchmarking costs and challenging existing arrangements
  • Using data and spend analysis to identify opportunities
  • Working with internal stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Driving tangible commercial value throughout the 6-month assignment

What I'm looking for:

  • Previous indirect procurement experience is essential for this one, ideally with strong exposure to indirect services.
  • A proven track record of negotiation and delivering cost savings
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent supplier and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Confidence analysing spend and spotting opportunities
  • The ability to hit the ground running and work independently
