This is a newly created opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join the team and take ownership of their own category.
You’ll be working with global suppliers, raising and managing purchase orders, keeping on top of stock and demand, and supporting with indirect procurement where needed. They’re not looking for someone who knows everything, but they do need someone with some previous procurement experience who understands the basics and can get up to speed quickly.
You might currently be a Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Assistant, Junior Buyer or Assistant Buyer and be looking for more ownership and progression.
You’ll be joining the business at a really exciting time, with continued growth, investment and plenty happening across the wider business.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Sourcing products and suppliers globally
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Working with suppliers on availability, lead times and delivery
- Monitoring stock levels and demand to support purchasing decisions
- Keeping on top of orders and making sure supply stays on track
- Supporting with indirect purchasing where needed
- Working closely with the wider supply chain team
- Using the ERP system and Excel daily
