Position: Nursery Practitioner / Room Leader

Hours: 40 hours per week (option to condense 40 hours over 4 days)

Opening Hours: 7.30 am to 6.30 pm

Our setting is especially close to our hearts – a truly unique nursery nestled in the heart of the community and close to the Liberty shopping centre & Romford train station. What we are looking for:

We are seeking a special individual who along with a full and relevant level 3 early years qualification, can bring fun, laughter, warmth, and a genuine passion for early years education to our children, families and team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering a rich, engaging EYFS curriculum tailored to each child
  • Creating inspiring indoor and outdoor spaces that promote exploration and independence
  • Building strong bonds as a key person, supporting children’s development and working closely with families
  • Supporting calm, inclusive routines like mealtimes and transitions
  • Making meaningful observations and assessments
  • Contributing to reflective team meetings and ongoing quality improvement
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and keeping up with best practice

As part of this commitment, all applicants will be subject to vetting and safeguarding procedures prior to starting employment. This includes, but is not limited to, enhanced DBS checks, verification of qualifications, reference checks, and confirmation of identity. The role also carries specific safeguarding responsibilities and the successful candidate will be expected to uphold and actively promote these at all times.   • Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working in an early years setting.

  • Reliable, organised, and flexible with a positive and proactive attitude.
