Location: East London

Salary: £100 - £130 per day (PAYE, depending on experience)

Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm

Start Date: Immediate (interviews taking place ASAP)

Contract: Until July with strong potential to continue into September

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant providing dedicated one-to-one support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism, ADHD and additional behavioural needs. This is a time-sensitive opportunity for a confident and experienced practitioner to work with consistency, resilience and a calm approach. The school is looking to meet candidates immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent one-to-one support throughout the school day for the Year 6 pupil.
  • Support behaviour regulation with a calm and structured approach.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals.
  • Create a safe, supportive learning environment where the pupil can engage and progress.

  • Strong experience supporting pupils with Autism and ADHD.
  • Confidence in managing behaviour and setting clear boundaries.
  • Experience supporting children with additional learning needs, including intellectual disabilities.
  • A resilient, patient and proactive mindset.
  • A genuine passion for SEND and making a lasting impact.
