Rising Hope Education are delighted to be supporting a truly beautiful and highly regarded primary school in the Borough of Havering in their search for a Year 2 Teacher to cover maternity leave from the 1st of May through to the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming, well-resourced school with a strong sense of community and a leadership team that genuinely values and supports its staff. For the right teacher, there is scope for this role to continue into September, offering longer-term stability and progression.
The Role
- You will take full class responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and structured lessons that support pupils in reaching their full potential during a key stage in their learning journey.
You Will Be
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Supporting pupils as they approach the end of Key Stage 1
- Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
- A confident and organised classroom practitioner
- Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
- A passion for delivering high-quality teaching and supporting pupil progress
