Chadwell Heath | September 2026 £220 - £340 per day
Build Something That Doesn't Exist Yet. Most teaching roles ask you to fit into an existing system. This one asks you to help create it. Rising Hope Education is proud to be partnering with an ambitious primary school in Chadwell Heath to recruit an exceptional SEMH Teacher for the launch of a brand-new specialist provision opening in September 2026. This is a rare opportunity to become one of the founding professionals within a provision that has been designed from the ground up to support children whose social, emotional and mental health needs have prevented them from thriving within mainstream classrooms.
The school isn't simply opening a room and calling it a provision. They are investing properly. Smaller classes. Additional adult support. Dedicated spaces. A leadership team fully committed to creating something special.
The Opportunity
You will lead a small class of pupils with a range of SEMH needs including:
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Attachment and trauma-related behaviours
- Anxiety-based school avoidance
- ADHD
- Autism alongside SEMH needs
- Social communication difficulties
This role will suit a teacher who understands that behaviour is communication and who can build relationships before expecting results.
Why This Role Is Different
As one of the founding teachers, you will have genuine influence over:
- Curriculum design
- Classroom environment
- Behaviour and regulation systems
- Intervention approaches
- Resource selection
- Family engagement strategies
Your voice will matter. You won't simply inherit someone else's provision. You'll help shape what this provision becomes.
What You'll Have Around You
- Small class sizes
- Excellent staffing ratios
- Supportive SENCo and Senior Leadership Team
- Access to specialist services
- Significant investment into the provision
- Long-term growth opportunities as the provision expands
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Holds QTS
- Has experience working with SEMH pupils
- Understands trauma-informed practice
- Can build strong relationships with children and families
- Remains calm, reflective and solution-focused
- Believes every child deserves a fresh start
The School
The leadership team has a clear vision: To create a provision where children feel safe enough to learn and valued enough to succeed. They are looking for someone who shares that vision and wants to help build something meaningful from day one.
Interested? If you're looking for more than just another teaching job and want the opportunity to create something that could transform children's lives for years to come, we'd love to speak with you.
