Part-Time SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1 Autism Support) | Thursdays & Fridays | Bethnal Green Finding a genuinely long-term, part-time SEND role can be difficult. That's why we're excited to be recruiting for this opportunity. Rising Hope Education is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Bethnal Green, supporting a lovely KS2 pupil with autism every Thursday and Friday from September 2026. This role has arisen because the current full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant, who has built an excellent relationship with the child, will be reducing her hours in September. We're therefore looking for a dedicated professional to work alongside her as part of a job-share arrangement for the full academic year. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking consistent part-time work, whether that's due to family commitments, studies, or simply a preference for a reduced working week. About the pupil: • Primary-aged pupil in Key Stage 2 • Verbal and able to communicate their needs • Presents with autistic traits and benefits from structure, routine and consistency • Enjoys positive relationships with familiar adults • Requires support with engagement, emotional regulation and accessing learning • Responds well to calm, patient and nurturing approaches • No physical or challenging behaviour • A lovely child who would benefit from a consistent and supportive adult presence The role: • Thursdays and Fridays only • September 2026 start • Trial days available immediately • Opportunity to spend time in school before the summer holidays • Long-term commitment for the full academic year • £95–£115 per day PAYE, depending on experience We're looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who is calm, reliable and passionate about building positive relationships with children. Please note: As this role is being supported through a job-share arrangement, it's important that a thorough handover takes place before the summer holidays. Ideally, we'd love to meet candidates who can spend a few days, or up to a week, in the school over the coming weeks. We can be flexible on the days worked prior to the summer break, provided you're able to commit to working every Thursday and Friday from September 2026. If you're looking for a rare opportunity to secure consistent, long-term, part-time work within a supportive school environment, we'd love to hear from you
