We are currently recruiting for two urgent SEND roles within a well established inclusive school setting in the Dagenham area. Both positions are full time, five days per week and are required to start immediately from 5th January. Due to the late timing in the term, both roles will move quickly and trial weeks will take place in the first week back.

Position 1: Primary HLTA - PPA Cover

We are seeking an experienced HLTA to provide PPA cover across a primary phase, working closely with pupils with additional needs. This role requires someone confident, calm, and highly competent in managing learning, behaviour, and transitions within a SEND informed environment. The successful candidate will have strong experience supporting children with SEND and be comfortable leading learning sessions independently. This is a full time role, 8.30am to 3.30pm, starting from 5th January, with an initial full trial week and the potential to continue on a longer term basis.

Position 2: Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant - Autism Provision

We are also recruiting for a strong and resilient secondary SEND teaching assistant to work within an autism alternative resource provision. This role is suited to someone with solid experience supporting young people with autism, sensory needs, and communication differences within a secondary setting. You will be working as part of a specialist team, supporting pupils both in the provision and within the wider school environment. This is a full time position for the spring term, starting from 5th January, with the expectation that candidates are available immediately for trial days.

Both roles offer a supportive working environment, strong leadership, and the opportunity to secure longer term work. Due to the urgency of these vacancies, applications will be reviewed as they come in and trial weeks will be arranged quickly. We are also supporting multiple schools with SEND vacancies over the coming weeks, so even if one role is not the right fit, there may be alternative opportunities available.

If you are experienced, available from 5th January, and looking for a meaningful role supporting children and young people with SEND, please get in touch as soon as possible.
