Rising Hope Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bow, Tower Hamlets, to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their SEND provision. This school is recognised for its calm, nurturing approach and strong team culture. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every pupil feels safe, valued, and supported to achieve their full potential.
The school is seeking an experienced and compassionate professional to support pupils with Autism and complex learning needs within a primary setting.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning, communication, and social needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop independence. Personal care, including toileting and intimate care, is part of the role and is shared respectfully among the team in line with school policies and best practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with Autism and complex needs in the classroom
- Implementing communication and sensory strategies
- Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
- Delivering personalised interventions and support plans
- Promoting emotional regulation, confidence, and engagement
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience supporting children with Autism and complex needs
- A patient, adaptable, and professional approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
- Willingness to support personal care within a team setting
Working Hours and Pay
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: 100 - 130 per day (PAYE, depending on experience)
Contract: Long-term, full-time
