Rising Hope Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in East London from September, working with primary-aged pupils within a Year 2 class.
You'll be supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism and communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs.
For some children, communicating what they want, need or feel can be incredibly difficult.
That’s why we’re looking for somebody who doesn’t simply react to behaviour but is curious enough to understand what the child might be trying to communicate.

Who could this suit?
We’d love to hear from experienced SEND Teaching Assistants, but school experience isn’t the only route into this position.
You may have experience within

- Behaviour mentoring
- Early Years
You need to be patient, resilient, compassionate and consistent.
Most importantly, you need to genuinely want to understand the children you’re supporting.
You’ll be working alongside experienced teachers and SEND professionals within an established specialist environment.
