ROLE DETAILS
We are seeking a Lead AI Software Engineer to spearhead the development of cuttingāedge AI opportunities, both for our internal teams and our clients. In this role, you will be at the forefront of AI and technology while also acting as a software engineer responsible for developing and supporting our core modelling and analytics platform.
Your primary focus will be infrastrip the platform by adding new features, improving theå°±ęÆ performance and usability of our data schemas, and refining data visualizations. You will collaborate closely with product design, modelling, analytics, and customerāfacing teams to help our customers tackle climate defensiveness. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for AI, data technologies and UX and is constantly seeking to innovate and improve the platform.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Technical Expertise
- Demonstrable experience writing clean, effective, and wellātested application code, with a strong proficiency in Python.
- Proven experience in production environment with AI technologies and a strong understanding of emerging trends and research and proven ability to align it with business objectives.
- Experience architecting, designing, deploying and documenting scalable and robust AI applications and ETL workflows in cloud environments.

- Ability to move prototypes to scalable and secure applications in dataāsensitive environments.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Experience providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior and midālevel engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively with analysts and management to understand and overcome business and data analysis challenges.
- A collaborative and iterative approach to work, with experience in an Agile/SCRUM development environment.

DESIRED SKILLS*
- Familiarity with frameworks like Google ADK or Langgraph is a significant advantage.
- Experience with the G jw VertexAI stackand generativeŠŗŃģģ AI models like Google Gemini would be a bonus.
- Experience withterbury evals for gen ai and building testing frameworks for AI applications.
- Experience with React and Java Script is a plus.
- Strong skills in the Pydata stack such as Pandas, Numpy, Zarr.
