Job Purpose

The role involves assisting clients with daily activities, personal care, and facilitating their participation in the community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Care
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility, using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safety.
2. Domestic Support
- Perform household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and ironing to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Manage shopping needs, either independently or accompanying clients, to ensure adequate supplies.
3. Companionship and Social Support
- Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Encourage and support clients to participate in social and recreational activities, both within the home and in the community.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social events, or on outings, as required.
4. Health Monitoring
- Observe and report any changes in clients' health, behaviour, or needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, incidents, and observations.
- Assist in the development and review of personalised care plans, ensuring they reflect current needs and preferences.
5. Compliance and Professionalism
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to health and safety, confidentiality, and safeguarding.
