As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of the unit, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, husbandry, and health and safety are maintained at all times. You will lead and coordinate a team of staff, supervise students in a practical setting, and help deliver an engaging learning environment that blends real-world experience with academic study.
Working closely with the Animal Management Curator and Unit Manager, you will contribute to the smooth running of the unit by allocating workloads, maintaining accurate records, and acting as Duty Manager when required. Your role will be central to supporting students as they develop valuable, industry-relevant skills while working with a diverse range of domestic, exotic, and farm animals.
