Our client specialises in innovative automation and control systems for critical infrastructure, supporting sustainability and a net-zero future. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with training and development. You’ll be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for engineers and technicians, ensuring they can operate, troubleshoot, and optimise complex control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programs on automation control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and related technologies.
  • Create training materials such as manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises tailored to different skill levels.
  • Conduct classroom and workshop training sessions for engineers and technicians.
  • Provide instruction on industrial network communication and protocols, including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and TCP/IP.
  • Assess trainee performance, provide feedback, and ensure competency in system operation and troubleshooting.
  • Stay updated on emerging automation and networking technologies and incorporate them into training content.
  • Collaborate with project teams to align training with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Maintain training records and prepare reports on training effectiveness.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with industrial automation systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of control logic, instrumentation, industrial networking, and communication protocols.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical learning.
  • Ability to design hands-on training modules and troubleshoot real-world scenarios.
