Senior Electrical Design Engineer Northamptonshire | Hybrid Up to £62,500 Depending on Experience Car Allowance | Company Car 37.5 Hours | Monday–Friday Rise10 Recruitment are currently supporting the recruitment of a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a Controls Engineering team, with hybrid working available. This is an opportunity to play a key role within the wider Engineering and Project Delivery teams, producing detailed electrical designs, circuit diagrams, component layouts, bills of materials and calculations for automated warehouse systems. Reporting to the Electrical Design Manager, you will work as part of the Electrical Design team to develop high-quality electrical solutions that meet project requirements and relevant technical and safety standards. You will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management and Installation teams to help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the required scope and quality. Produce high-quality electrical designs that meet project requirements and relevant technical standards. Produce electrical solutions using Eplan and AutoCAD for installation and service support teams. Produce safety solutions to current safety standards and power calculations to support the overall solution design. Work with the Project Engineering team to coordinate electrical, control and mechanical requirements and deliver an integrated design solution. Investigate and resolve technical issues identified within electrical design. Proactively work with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management and Installation teams to support project delivery. Attend project sites to inspect electrical installations against required standards and ensure they meet the design intent. Attend customer meetings, customer sites, internal project meetings and supplier meetings as required. Support colleagues across the business in the execution of project work. You will have a can-do attitude, be willing to step in and help resolve complex problems, and have a strong focus on doing the right thing from a technical and safety perspective. Pride in producing high-quality work. A willingness to spend time on project sites, client sites and supplier sites as required. The ability to work co-operatively and proactively as part of an Engineering and Project Delivery team. Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering – preferably a degree, although HND/HNC with suitable relevant design experience is acceptable. Strong competence in Electrical Design Engineering, including appropriate calculations, specifications, CAD drawings, design concepts and resolving technical design issues. Experience in Electrical Design Engineering, particularly capital equipment and/or systems. High competence using Eplan, AutoCAD and MS365 packages. Good appreciation of 18th Edition, EN60204, EN13849 and other relevant electrical and safety standards.
