We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor for an exciting 12-month contract with a leading client based in Suffolk. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project, where your leadership and technical skills will make a direct impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage on-site mechanical teams, ensuring high standards of safety and performance.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and QA of mechanical systems including pumps, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
  • Coordinate daily activities to meet project deadlines and budgetary targets.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to align mechanical works with project milestones.
  • Ensure all site operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project progress and mechanical systems.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven background in mechanical installation and commissioning, particularly within clean and wastewater sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar construction software.
  • Competence to act as an authorised person for isolation and permit-to-work systems.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment alignment checks, pressure testing, and mechanical QA processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS or SMSTS)
  • Valid CSCS card
