Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in maintenance operations, project management, and team leadership? Rise10 have partnered with a family-owned chemical manufacturing company seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will oversee electrical maintenance, lead project installations, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and supervise a team of electrical personnel. Applicants must have experience in chemical manufacturing, working with hazardous substances/materials, and a good understanding of ATEX, area classification, and BS60079.
Duties of an Electrical Engineer:
- Overseeing planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and operational efficiency of all electrical systems.
- Project Work: Designing, specifying, and installing electrical equipment for capital, maintenance, and upgrading projects, ensuring budget compliance.
- Team Leadership: Supervising the electrical team and electrical contractors.
- Acting as a Company Technical Authority on electrical matters and liaising with internal teams and external agencies such as the HSE & EA.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintaining a culture of safety within the Electrical Department, ensuring adherence to statutory and company regulations.
- Training and Development: Managing the development and training of all electrical personnel.
Skills and experience required of an Electrical Engineer:
- Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- At least 3 years of practical experience post-HNC, with experience in a supervisory role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ATEX, area classification, BS60079, and electrical safety standards.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing and working with hazardous substances/materials.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and adapt to operational priorities.
- Experience in supervising electrical teams and contractors.
