Rise10 Recruitment are partnering with a leading industrial automation and control systems integrator. They design, build, and commission bespoke control panels and automation systems across manufacturing and process industries. They are seeking a Junior Controls Engineer to join their team and gain hands-on experience in panel testing, commissioning, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PLC programs and HMI/SCADA screens
  • Prepare and maintain panel documentation, FAT/SAT test records, and as-built updates
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and on-site commissioning (SAT)
  • Troubleshoot, support, and modify control panels and systems
  • Assist with continuous improvement of templates, procedures, and documentation

About You

  • Experience with control panel wiring, testing, and commissioning would be beneficial but not essential
  • Able to read electrical schematics and control drawings
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and drives (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Desirable: AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN, FAT/SAT documentation experience, knowledge of instrumentation and industrial networking
