Rise10 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Shot Blaster / Metal Sprayer to join a well-established and growing UK manufacturing business specialising in industrial fabrication.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a hands-on engineering and manufacturing environment. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
The Role
Your duties will involve working with a range of manufactured steel and stainless-steel products, including vessels, silencers and pipework.
Responsibilities will include:
- Steel ball shot blasting of onsite-manufactured steel vessels, silencers and pipework to the required standard.
- Aluminium metal spraying following the blasting process.
- Working within purpose-built housing for each operation.
- Sand-based bead blasting of stainless-steel vessels, silencers and pipework.
- Carrying out cleaning and preparation processes on stainless steel following welding.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
Experience in shot blasting, metal spraying or bead blasting would be advantageous, but it is not essential.
The successful candidate will be:
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out hands-on work.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willing to learn and undertake training.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is dependable, keen to learn and ready to turn up and get stuck in.
What's On Offer
- Starting pay of £15.00 per hour.
- Opportunity for a pay increase following a successful probationary period.
- Full training provided.
- Monday to Friday working hours.
- 7:30am–4:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
- A supportive working environment.
- Temporary position for the first 12 weeks, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role thereafter.
