Overview
Are you an experienced IDVA, ready to work with a creative and dynamic team, advocating for women, families and the LGBT+ community who have experienced Domestic Abuse?
The role leads a team of specialist caseworkers, supporting survivors to address practical issues and empower them in their recovery.
The RISE Team Leader will be a skilled independent domestic and sexual violence advocate who will oversee a small team of case and group workers as well as managing Helpline volunteers.
The candidate will be a qualified IDVA and ISVA or be willing to complete the accreditations in the first six months in post.
The post includes holding a caseload and coordinating a team delivering survivor-focused, trauma aware support in partnership with an experienced Manager and other Team Leaders.
The aim is to deliver survivorfocused, trauma-informed support to help survivors and their family cope and recover.
This post is subject to a DBS check.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a small team of case and group workers and Helpline volunteers.
- Maintain a personal caseload while providing guidance and oversight to the team through interventions and support offers.
- Develop, implement and coordinate the Helpline, Casework and Projects with day-to-day practice oversight of staff and volunteers.
- Work collaboratively with the Manager and other Team Leaders to deliver survivor-focused, trauma-informed support and build links with partners.
- Contribute to the effective running of the organisation as a whole by providing expert input and flexible collaboration with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Qualified IDVA and ISVA or be willing to complete the accreditations within the first six months in post.
- Experience advising and supporting women, families and the LGBT+ community who have experienced domestic abuse.
- Willingness to complete required checks (DBS) and comply with safeguarding requirements.
- Ability to work with sensitivity to trauma, maintain confidentiality and manage a case load effectively.
