Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end bids for commercial Solar PV, EV and renewables, working with cross-functional teams to secure public and private sector contracts. You’ll interpret NEC/JCT contracts and shape winning tender submissions, supporting growth of a growing solar/renewables business. The position offers hybrid working, handling high-value opportunities across the UK from a well-established renewables specialist. You’ll drive bid strategies and ensure compliant, technically robust proposals that align with the company’s quality and HSE standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bid process for Solar PV, EV and renewables projects
- Lead bids from opportunity to submission, negotiation and award
- Review NEC/JCT contracts, specs, scopes and tender docs
- Manage bids for commercial, industrial and public sector clients
- Prepare and manage PQQ, SQ, ITT, framework and mini-competition submissions
- Develop bid strategies, win themes and compelling written responses
- Coordinate input from sales, design, estimating, commercial, engineering and project delivery teams
Key requirements
- Bid Manager or similar role experience
- Background in commercial construction, M&E, engineering, energy or renewables
- Experience managing high-value tenders from opportunity to contract award
- Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts
- Experience with public sector frameworks, tenders and mini-competitions
- Experience with Solar PV, EV, M&E or renewables advantageous
